Career shifters, trying to decide to take a leap of faith to change into the Science teaching profession. What professional development they need to seek to gain knowledge and practice of Science teaching methodologies, which best work in class, whether their prospective schools provide learning synchronously, or asynchronously, or both. The workshop will help them decide whether them moving forward to becoming a science teacher or remain in their career.
By the end of the workshop, the attendees will be able to:
1. Identify the reasons for considering the career shift.
2. State the pros & cons of doing the shift.
3. List “Teacher Roles” and their profound importance in the learning environment.
Dr Heba Hamad has a PhD in Teaching and Learning from Queens Bay University, USA. She also has an MBA from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport. She is currently an instructor at the American University in Cairo (AUC).
